Finally, the DVD is out for preorders, there is news about the OST, and there’s a preview of the Genius Party Beyond series (no voices though, but the animation is amazing!).

Plenus Hotto Motto CM

Forget how goofy that company and product is named, you have to listen to this song. It should be included in a CM Yoko CD 2. Listen to it in Grand Funk. Beautiful, beautiful.

EDIT: I downloaded the song, but it says the composer is Ethan Blanchard. I wonder what Kanno’s involvement is then?

Maaya Sakamoto Triangler Single Review

So there, this is going to be short and sweet, as most of us have heard how Triangler sounds from the PV anyway. And lo and behold, it also sounds like that on record! Oh but seriously, the song has really grown on me and reminded me of one of the lead characters in the animation, Ranka Lee. It’s youthful, energetic, and the synth mixes in well with the real instruments.

Kotomichi, composed and arranged by Michiko Takada, is very pretty and emotional, and as I’ve said in another board, it’s probably what Maaya fans expected Kanno to write for their reunion song. The piano and Maaya’s voice is very soothing, and that high pitch Maaya reaches towards the end? Goosebumps! (more…)
