Fujitsu FOMA F905i CM

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

To watch the video, click the image and click “ENTER” in the website. After that, choose either the 15 minute or the 30 minute versions to play.

Previously, Kanno was also composer to Fujitsu’s FOMA F704i, but that one had an edgier piece. Recently, she’s been working on CMs that have primarily mellow piano pieces, but this one is a return to the quirky ones she’s done in the past. I’d like her to do more of these!

The track is also available through Grandfunk.net. (more…)

Macross Frontier Song Rip, New CM

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

Well, if anyone wants a direct rip of the song that is played in the Macross Frontier CM and the first episode, download them here. The CM rip was done by GGemini and posted in the Macross World Forums. The first episode rip is made by yours truly :)

Ranka Lee, aspiring singer in Macross F

A new CM has come up, and we get to hear singing idol “Sheryl” speak a few words, “Atashi no uta o kike (Listen to my song)!”. It sounds to me like she is the one singing the song in the CM. Megumi Nakajima, who was auditioned to provide the vocals for the lead heroine role, got the role for Ranka, not Sheryl, so I’m guessing that the song being played is not hers.

The song in the CM also sounds better in quality. That, or it is a new mix, because the the rhythm definitely is more striking on this one. Watch the new CM here: (more…)

Run Rabbit Junk Unreleased Violins Version

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

shadow674 recently uploaded in YouTube the unreleased violins version of Run Rabbit Junk. As he describes in the video comment,

The track was ripped from a couple of episodes of the 2nd Gig and then filtered, edited and encoded by me, resulting in what sounds nearly identical to what is heard in the anime.

The video here is nothing special, just a montage of the scenes where the music is played.

Extremely unfortunate this never made it onto the OST as it’s one of my favourite tracks from the series, but alas I am quite pleased with this rip.

Download the file here: 01_-_Run_Rabbit_Junk_Unren.mp3

Please note that the file was ripped by shadow674, please feel free to use it, but remember to return the favor by crediting the person who ripped the music.

Escaflowne: A Girl in Gaea Unreleased Tracks

Monday, November 12th, 2007

How did I miss this? I loved the Lizzard.net website and frequented the site when it first came out! Please pardon me if this is too late, but I feel a bit nostalgic listening to these lost pieces.

Notable pieces in this set are “Escaflowne Lives”, which reminds the listener of the tv series, only darker. “Exploding Horse” is also pretty mysterious, and then there’s “Telekinetic Brawl” which starts rather slowly and becomes powerful halfway. The ending arrangement of “Sora” is also present in this set, which is an echoing a cappella version of Sora which ends with an equally mysterious drums and piano accompaniment at the end which is to my dismay, abruptly terminated. “Time for a Battle” is another looming piece with light vocals at the start which develop to fantasy RPG-like battle music. (NOTE: The website admin gave names to the tracks for reference purposes, and are by no means official.)

Download the songs at the Lizzard.net, Extra Background Music. The scenes where these songs were played are also described in this page. (more…)
