According to Animedia, the Macross F movie is slated for June 2009, details to follow.
The works and lyrics page of this website has also been updated, after much delay Most information there have already been published in blog posts, but it’s still better to have a one-stop reference page. Only one new set of lyrics are available, and that’s for the Aimo~Koi no Uta, which aren’t available in the CD jacket, and is obviously Gabriela’s work. I also took liberties saying that all Aimo’s are Gabriela’s, even if they aren’t credited in the CD jacket.
Thanks to yy and Pulse Czar for helping with the CM Yoko lyrics! You may view them now at the lyrics section. The songs are not directly credited to have vocals by Gabriela, but we did take the fact that they were credited as performed by “Samply Red” as enough hint that she did it
Guys, ever since I posted a lot of stuff about Macross Frontier, the visits just went up and now this blog is risking going down by the end of the month. Don’t be surprised if it does I can’t believe this is going to happen AFTER I had my bandwidth doubled. But then again, if that means there have been more visitors, then that’s a good thing, right?
Anyway, some brief updates:
News tidbit 1:
Look who has Kanno’s CM CD:
(That’s May’n, Sheryl Nome’s singing voice!)
News tidbit 2:
The Hotto Motto CM video is up in their official site. Kanno arranged the music for this.
News tidbit 3:
Macross F’s episode 7 had a new song entitled “Infinity”, which I’m not that fond of, it’s just too plain and common for my tastes. Nothing special, and I don’t like how the voices mix. Also in this episode, we hear the harmonica version 2 of Aimo. (If you’ve watched the episode, you’re probably gagging on how I’m trying to dodge spoilers in narrating stuff about the music.) I personally thought that the harmonica was just one of Kanno’s quirks, just like those weird horns in Omna Magni, but it seems like… it’s part of the plot.
And here’s my bonus sample of Infinity, well, even if it’s not the strongest song in Macross Frontier, it’s not that bad. (I’m giving you permission to like this song to death if you please )
News tidbit 4:
The title of one of the songs in the Ranka Lee = Megumi Nakajima CD single is “Interstellar Flight”. The title is actually in Japanese, though I can’t Romanize it properly, so that’s just the translation.
News tidbit 5:
That Macross F OST 1 CD cover is official, it’s in the Macross F Official Site. And yes, they appended “1″ after OST, so even if we *know* that there’d be a second OST, this is just official and it rocks. And look at that, they’re still attempting to hide the spoilery track list that Victor earlier seems to have accidentally posted
I was surprised when I received the email this morning, someone apparently nominated this blog for The Anime Blog Awards. I didn’t know that there was an awards like this going on, and when I took a look, this blog didn’t even fit the category it was nominated on, which is “Best Seiyuu Oriented Blog“.
Well… Yoko Kanno is officially a seiyuu for Genius Party Beyond…
That one vote isn’t mine, thought I unabashedly admit that I’m signing up to patronize my own
Thank you for whoever thought that this blog was nomination-worthy, and for all of those who would want to vote for it!
