The USB flash memory stick which is in the design of a Tachikoma character, will contain 18 tachikoma songs (mp3), 65 tachikoma voice recordings, 15 voice recordings of Motoko and Batou (mp3), an OST promotional video/be Human TV CM (mp4), and 12 images (jpg).
There is also a disclaimer about the photos above, that they are only samples, and the actual product might vary.
As a final comment, not too many Japanese fans seem to be impressed with this release. Most fans who prematurely reviewed it in Amazon.com gave it a low one star, but only due to the fact that you could not avail of the OST 4 without buying the whole package, which includes ALL the other soundtrack CDs released before.

I was hesitant to pre order this from Amazon at first, but the pictures seal the deal for me.
…though that means I will have two of each soundtrack already except for OST4-

…you could sell them though! Or give them as gifts to friends who like Kanno?
The CD packaging looks very pretty, and if my eyes aren’t fooling me, it looks very transparent - one of the CDs is partly visible through the packaging
Can anyone else see that?

No break in the OST4 means, I think, that there will be a lot of very short musics which have usually no chance to be released because of their length.
And I have in mind some short musics I really liked in the anime, I hope that I wil be able to find them
Well, I will wait for the August 24th since I pre-ordered it and I’m currently living in Japan so the delivery time is only one or two days

Well, I’d like to know what the “no breaks” really is. If it’s just one track on a cd, then that’d be a bit harder for people who want to share it over the net
I wonder if they made sure to place all the missing tracks this time

$123.00…Wow…Has it been officially announced that this will be the only release of the 4th OST? Or is it merely assumption and speculation that this is the only release?
It is absolutely gorgeous, and the flash memory stick is adorable.

I think it’s a bad move for them if they won’t release it separately. That would definitely antagonize the older fans who purchased everything else!

I don’t think there are a lot of persons like me who haven’t any SAC CD (that’s the main reason why I bought this package, and it wasn’t expensive on Amazon (11000yen)) so I totally agree, and I understand why every comments on Amazon have only one star… If you liked GITS musics, you must have one or two CDs of the anime. If not, you won’t be interested in the OST4 or this package at all… I don’t catch their policy ^^…
PS: For the story, I had the two first OSTs of SAC but I offered them to a friend, and I was about to buy them at Tokyo this month but I heard of this package one or two months ago.

i think if the 4th OST is just one track composed of a lot of small tracks, they will not release it alone … maybe because the music is more trivial than the other OSTs. And for them that makes a good reason to get the box

I was thinking… The first OST was called OST1 then they released OST+ (OST1 + two TV version tracks (I think the OP and ED of the first season)). And what if OST4- is because they intend to release a real OST4 later with more tracks… Let’s speculate !!! ^^
PS : Honestly I don’t think so, but I wanted to share this idea ^^

I hope there will be some tracks with Gabriela Robin choirs, I’m looking forward to it !!! But in these kinds of tracks Yoko Kanno considere usually Robin as an instrument ^^

I second that, Gabriela Robin’s voice for the unreleased tracks have mostly been used more as an instrument than as a solo vocalist. It would definitely fit in as background music. Those should be released!!!

This CD-box is now annouced for the 2007.9.5 (see the top of the Victor SAC information page).
