New Yoko Kanno Interview from Creators’ Station (update 2!)
EDIT: Pulseczar has made an English translation of the first and second part of the interview. Another shout out to Pulseczar! In the second part, she thanks the fans who have made fansites dedicated to her. I felt very happy reading that
More power to her, and her fans too!!!
More pretty photos from Kanno! I love her hair, and also her outfit. I’m wondering why she didn’t keep this look for the Ragnarok Concert. Read part 1 and part 2 of her interview from Creators’ Station, or you could watch the video in windows media and quicktime formats. I don’t think the video has all of the questions published in the website though, but it’s fun to watch her and listen to her cute voice.
At the end of the video, Kanno signs a Ghost in the Shell:SAC CD while Player is played in the background. Her signature looks the same everytime I see it. Must be a mechanical thing for her to do by now.
I’m currently trying to look for someone who could provide us with a translation of the interview, so for the meantime, just go over the photos and videos
My amateur translation would only tell you that the interview is about her career
By the way, at the end of the interview, the discography mentions that Kanno has more than 500 commercial music / CM music. That’s quite a huge number of music we won’t be able to hear, isn’t it? We have only about 120 songs published in the Grand Funk Inc. website. I wonder if there would be some sort of compilation of her best works if she gets super popular. Not that I’d want her to be popular, but still
The links have been edited because the interview has been archived. Thanks to Pulseczar for pointing it out

This interview is highly interesting stuff, I’m having a blast translating it word by word. I might be able to make a full translation eventually, but I fear it’ll take a while… XD I plan on getting right into it later today.
It’s really interesting because just yesterday I was wondering if it isn’t about time YK releases a new solo album, and they start off the interview debating exactly that!
Oh, and the website moved the YK interview to the archives, here are the new URLs:

As always, thanks for the excellent work with the website, mai.

@Yyrkoon – that’s okay, I’m too lazy to delete it
I also didn’t see that there is going to be a new Aquarion release! Thanks for pointing that out!!!
@Pulseczar – Thanks for the links, I didn’t think they’d archive this stuff
If you could also do a translation, that’d be great!

Aaaw, thanks Pulz, you’re super! I’ll edit the post when I have the time to add your translation. Do you think I could do you a favor by linking the post to a site that you own, or your blog if you want to?

I like her outfit, too! She probably went wild with the Ragnarok Concert for the Korean fans.

You got the right word: “wild”
