Genius Party Showing Countdown!

I blew off some steam over at Random Curiosity just a while ago because some fan was saying that we will never know if Kanno could have been popular if the animations that she has worked on were not of good quality, story and animation wise. Is it her fault if she gets hired for the big ones? And besides, she did work on Please Save My Earth, didn’t she, and even if it wasn’t the most conducive year for anime outside of Japan, she still managed to gather fans! And some of them are still fans to date! Imagine!

Why don’t we add to their seemingly long list of big budget Kanno projects?

It’s less than a week before Genius Party is aired, so let’s start our traditional countdown!

The Genius Party Showing is done!

In this video, you get a preview of Baby Blue, the animation that Kanno’s work is present in.

The piano background music is very Kanno, don’t you think? According to Shinichiro Watanabe, the story of Baby Blue is nothing more than a boy-meets-girl kind of story.

Mark Schilling from Japan Times gives the movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Not the score any of us would imagine, would it? But it’s not stopping me from watching ;)
