A&G Yoko Kanno Top 20 Rankings - 11 to 20

The Nippon Cultural Broadcasting Inc. Anima and Game Zone has broadcast yesterday, June 14, the bottom half of their top 20 Yoko Kanno songs. The segment is entitled “Best of Best! Yoko Kanno Soundtrack Best 20″, and gathered the top 20 requests from their listeners.

The results are as follows:

11.Yubiwa Escaflowne ED
12. Gift CLAMP School Detectives 2nd OP
13. Toki no Kioku Please Save My Earth OP
14. Ask DNA Cowboy Bebop Knocking on Heaven’s Door OP
15. Kiseki no Umi Record of the Lodoss War OP
16. Inner Universe Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex OP
17. Hemisphere Rahxephon OP
18. Go Tight! Genesis of Aquarion 2nd OP
19. Harukanaru Inori Legend of Crystania OP
20. Stray Wolf’s Rain OP

I’m surprised that Inner Universe is at the bottom half, I thought it would sit perfectly somewhere at the top 5. It seems that only opening and ending songs were considered, right? My bets for the top 10 would then have to be Tank!, Rise, Yakusoku Iranai, I am a Dreamer/Platina, Mameshiba, Sousei no Aquarion, Ai no Rinkaku, Voices… and that’s all I could name for now.

Can anyone complete my list? There’s still two more, what could I have missed? There are actually more candidates, considering the number of Ghost in the Shell:SAC opening and ending songs. What are your bets? :)

The top 1-10 will be broadcast next week, June 21. I’ll keep everyone posted.

What about Gravity? I’m sure it’s up there somewhere….Also I hope that After in the Dark is up there too but because of how old it is I’m not so sure (but isn’t Record of the Lodoss War kinda old, too?). And what is the Legend of Christiana…I’ve never heard of that one before

Christania, shucks, the spelling is wrong. It’s kind of a spin-off of Lodoss War, but can’t be sure. I haven’t heard of the song either:

Oh, yes I missed Gravity. One more…
