Unconfirmed: Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. SSS 3D Music

UPDATE (March 23, 2011): Still unsure if it means that there would be new songs, but they have announced that on March 30, they would put 3 songs up for download as full ringtones. One of the songs is Player, the rest are unannounced.

Not confirmed, and maybe not anything new, but in the official Twitter page of the GITS:SAC SSS 3D, Tomohiko Ishii (icitomohiko on Twitter), posted:

icitomohiko 今日の『攻殻機動隊 S.A.C. SSS 3D』の宣伝会議では、サウンドトラックにおいても思わず「おお！」と声を上げてしまうような展開が動き出しました。詳細は近日発表予定〜 #PH9

And it means…

In the “Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. SSS 3D” publicity conference today, every time there was a talk of the soundtrack, people would suddenly go “ooooh!”. There are plans to release the details in a few days~

    3rd to post xD. Does this mean they keeped all the soundtracks but possibly even revamped them? That would be cool to buff up some instrumental parts.

    Well to be frank, I think that comment doesn’t sound polite given the graveness of the situation and how unimportant the concern of this post is relative to it… but yeah Ilaria has gone back to Rome, so it might be due to the health hazards over there. Then again, Kanno has been recording in other countries profusely, so if they really want to, they can still proceed.

    Air date of the 3D version is today, and it’s already late in the day with no one posting about new music used in the show, so it’s likely that there’s no new songs. I guess the music announcement is just the re-release of the OSTs. I’m still holding my breath though, that the March 30 ringtone release will contain at least one new song.
