   hmm this is somewhat unrelated but

   you know in the anime OP, near the end you see this person who’s tied up by red ribbons (we agreed the tied up person was sheryl.. a few threads ago)? is there some sort of meaning behind red ribbon for the japanese? i ask because i’ve seen it a few times here and there

   there’s this one anime character who wears a little of it on her feet (vampire princess miyu.. really oldschool) as decoration

   The most common use of the “red ribbon” is usually to signify a romantic connection between two characters. But this is usually specifically when you see this ribbon connecting two characters; the use of it in the trailer doesn’t necessarily seem to relate to that…… I think it has more to do with restraining her/etc. As for Vampire Princess Miyu, I don’t recall from watching that if it ever was given any specific significance, as opposed to just being a particular part of her “costume”.

   There must be a better way of translating this. Maybe ” An anticyclone batters against the doors to this planet”, or something.

   I think it’s the Macross F “use futuristic-sounding stuff” in the lyrics thing.

   phew, at least i don’t see this line:
   “Hazukashii monogatari nameatte mo raion wa tsuyoi”
   being translated as something like:
   “…even though lions are strong, they still lick each other”

    This part is just my interpretation. It’s not part of the lyrics. I think the song contains spoilers hidden in code.
