Macross F Movie 2 Recording Currently Ongoing?
Masatsugu Shinozaki has revealed in his blog that he thinks that they are currently working on Kanno’s music for Macross. He still fondly refers to her as “Hiyoko Taichou”

I think that on the Macross radio program they talked about that Yoko Kanno has already some songs ready for recording so it wouldn’t surprise me… Kanno’s work usually finish wayy before then begin even the animation work.

Well that’s a bit of a bad news isn’t it? They announced that the second movie is supposed to be out winter this year, so they must be animating already! I hope it means that they’re working on the OST and the animation at the same time this time.

Don’t think so. From what they talk on the radio show, Kawamori is still designing new mecha and the script hasn’t been finished yet. I would think on an early spring release or early next year. It would be great if they release it this year… but I’m not holding my breath.

Just heard from the radio show that the script is 1/3 complete. And they’ll be announcing the release date for the DVD/BluRay of the MacrossF Movie this week.
