Pokkarishita Translation Project
UPDATE: Here’s our project website, thanks to Len! I, PerdeskiCloyn and Yyrkoon have volunteered to work on the transcriptions and translations. To check the existing translated articles, please check the left sidebar for pages tagged as “Translation Available”. As of now, we have almost done 30% of translating all articles that have available sources. If anyone can help, please volunteer by contacting me by any means. Thanks!!!
As some of you might know, Kanno used to have a monthly column in Newtype where she wrote random stuff about her daily life. It was entitled Pokkarishita, and it ran from 1999 to 2006, so you can tell that it has a lot of information about her, most of which has not been translated in English. A lot of it has been translated in Chinese though.
So in line with this, I thought of trying to find a group of fans to search for, and translate the Pokkarishita articles.
Who we need:
- Researchers of existing scans, transcripts, or English translations of the articles.
- Volunteer Japanese -> English OR Chinese -> English transcribers and/or translators.
Current status: We are still trying to find all the scans/transcripts/translations of the articles, the current list of which you can browse here. The actual assigning and translation will start on May 1, 2010.

There is absolutely no pressure for anyone in this project to deliver, and it will just be ongoing as the resources permit
