(Countdown finished)

Lazy me decides to create a countdown to the release of The Aquarion OVA instead of making a vigil to the date. Happy page refreshing

For those who have not listened to the Aquarion OSTs, it is highly recommended for Kanno fans who liked her formula in Escaflowne. The OST is Escaflowne’s spiritual successor - Gregorian chants, heavy beats, sweeping background music, poppish intro song, album composition shared with another composer…

It’s also the first time I cried on a Kanno song that is not sang by Gabriela. I’m talking about “Genesis of Aquarion”. I know I’m not silly and alone crying over that track. It was cute and overwhelming at the same time, especially if you think “Sousei no Aquarion” has its merits despite how perky it is. Definitely the best “acoustic version” of a song Kanno has done. In my book at least
