Hahah, oh wow. Rucky Star. I love and hate it so much at the same time.

…
You KNOW Konata would really do that. Hell, she’d probably be doing the Ranka Dance once she saw it, and doing it well. Or dressing up as Klein. It’s like the role she was born to play.

I don’t really watch this animation, I think my brother does though =__=;;

Konata, voiced by Aya Hirano (Mina Roshan) is like one of the biggest otaku ever. And she looks just like Klan Klein in Miclone form. All she would need is the costume and the head-dress and she’d be a spitting image, as a fan-art suggests.
So I can’t say I’m surprised by that cover - it’s not the first time Lucky Star’s spoofed other CD covers, and it’d be in character for Konata.

@yy - is that official?
@Pyoro - Spoofs I think hold their own copyright, like when a comedian spoofs another person. I don’t really know much about it, but they just get away with it, don’t they?

The drama CD is being produced by Lantis Records, which is a subsidary of Bandai Visual. Need I say more?

Incidentally, the inside cover of the CD and the CD itself are… unsurprisingly, nearly identical to the Diamond Crevasse Single.
BEHOLD!

You know this means one thing - Konata watches Macross Frontier and enjoys the music. Which is a bit more ironic, given that Tsusaka’s seiyuu is Ram Hoa… and Aya Hirano is Ram Hoa.
And of course, look at who shows up in the stars on the inside cover…

LOL, look at the jacket rib (I don’t know what that is called, I’m talking about the strip with the CD title). The label of Sheryl’s is Flying Dog… the one for Konata is a cat XD
August 30th, 2008 at 8:48 am
I told you that Konata watches the show - why else would she go into such detail with the parody by including the Lucky Star cat mascot in place of the Flying Dog trademark?
Seriously, this was a very well-executed idea on the part of whatever otaku are in Lantis Entertainment. You know Konata would do this, and it fits in with the spirit of Lucky Star to pull off a parody as close as this. Of course, the drama on the disc is written well enough that it could’ve been an animated episode too, but that’s another story.
It doesn’t hurt that Lantis is a Bandai subsidiary… or that Bandai’s involved in the production of Keroro Gunso, IIRC. That’s probably why they got away with as many unbleeped Keroro references as they did.

Not only Aya Hirano and Kaori Fukuhara (Konata and Tsukasa) voice two of the bridge bunnies, but most importantly Miyuki and Sheryl share same seiyuu! I guess it’s not surprising that the alternative cover that yy posted have same exact pose (on same side too while Konata’s is opposite side) and same earring as Sheryl XD
Poor Emiri Kato is the only one from the LS main cast with no role in Frontier I guess :O
