Family Mart CM to be Included in Macross F Movie?!

It has been announced in the Family Mart Official Website that one of the songs in the CMRanka release will be entitled “Family Mart Cosmos”.
In retrospect, Kanno has already previously written a handful of CMs for Family Mart, one of which was released in CMYoko (1), and was entitled “Viva Kobara”.

MMM … Interesante, pero Yoko-sama sólo va a escribir canciones de comerciales para el single de Mamegu? Yoko-sama es un genio, pero es un poco extremo … a May’n-san que le compuso un mini-álbum con canciones completas, no comerciales … Espero escuchar más y no sólo puro Sou da yo, y comerciales

@Love007 – I think this is more like their response to the fans who are asking why Ranka doesn’t have an album release for the first movie. Once again, I have a strong hunch she will have her turn for the next movie, and Sheryl getting a similar toned-down treatment.

I prefer a full album than a two song single, anyway, so I’m ok with, and expecting, the new album.

Hehe, that is not something very new actually. Ads in series are just kinda regular, and usually most of the audience not even notice them, or just do not care about them.
Now, the different here is the approach they are giving it to them.
You will know that the ad will be there, and they will revenue it on a kind of win-win scenario, where not only Family Mart get its ads, but also where Macross (the series/movie) can win also if the song happen to be catchy, for example.
Let’s see what happen. I really expect to see then a smart ad-placement (with some plot, for example) instead of just a plain ad…
