Heart & Soul… Could it be the Macross 7 song? :3
That would be awesome!!!
But… wow! I can’t wait!! >.<

I wonder what kind of composition and arrangement Sagisu Shiro made for May’n? She should be in good hands with Shiro Sagisu, well known producer and composer and all. Thank goodness the wait won’t be too long!
Thank you for bringing the most fantastic and exciting news I’ve heard all day, Mai!

i’m itching to hear how “Welcome to my Fanclub’s Night” will be remixed.

SHIRO SAGISU??? Whoa whee!
Though he’s more known for kooky instrumentals than popish music right? How’s this going to work? Exciting!

That’s some great news. I was waiting for such a CD since quite long time. Now I only hope that it will be great.

This is great news!! =)
Thnx as always for posting!
I too am more familiar with Sagisu’s works on instrumental music, so it’ll be very interesting to see what kind of style he’s created for May’n.
Hope he’s as good at bringing out the best quality in people’s voices as Kanno does xD

The remix on Welcome to my Fanclub’s Night is….well, I’ll need to listen to the whole song to make a comment. XD

Thanks for the link!
LOL, the Welcome to my Fanclub’s Night arrangement sounds so artificial and… weird XD
I’m not too fond of the other songs as well, they sound like some normal classic pop songs, with too many sparkling and synth sounds :p
Heart & Soul is maybe better than the others, it sounds more acoustic, and she sings in English, it’s more listenable I think

I’m not sure if I like it, but then I’ve never been a huge fan of May’n's voice… I like the emotions she puts out, but if the song does not have the emotions, I usually don’t get into it that much.
I think Sagisu is a wonderful composer, but he doesn’t utilize the true prowess of May’n. I guess that’s why we like Kanno?

‘U’ OOOOOOH WAW! CHU CHU WAW!
Track 01. Get Ready. I like. Groovy. And yeah, Welcome to my Fan’s Club sounds weird compared to the original version.
Darn. What is it with 11.25.09? MacF Movie. Universal Bunny. Paranormal Activity. Now this? Er.

Sagisu is all I needed to read. *u*

Oh gosh, there are too much Macross related stuff on this blog
, you know Scott Matthew has two new albums since his debut with Yoko Kanno
and I don’t remember seeing a news about him
.
November 12th, 2009 at 6:40 am
If Scott Matthew makes anything, no matter how small, a self-cover or something like that, of a Kanno song, it will be reported. This is a Kanno news blog still
If May’n didn’t have the Fanclub song in this album, it would have not been here either. If NHK didn’t have her in their compilation, off with it
Really, this is the blog where people can glee over Kanno, and no other person else in particular

^I might be misunderstanding you, but I have not posted about that Official Book yet, unless you’re talking about the sidebar?
Also, I don’t think I will review anything if it doesn’t have a relation with music. So perhaps if there’s a costume there that Ranka used for a song number in the movie, I would do that. Then again, at that time, the movie would have already aired!

I really love May’n voice but these song samples seem so normal, I guess I expected something more, I don’t know how to put my finger on it.
