Sou Da Yo Live

Megumi has been performing this song in her live tour way back then, but I suppose that since this just surfaced now, then it came from someone who *ahem* brought a recorder to the Crossover live. Anyway, you may listen to it in nicovideo via the original uploader, or you may listen to it here if you don’t have an account there.

I could not understand all of the lyrics, but based on the past lyrics we’ve seen transcribed by some people, and the rest of the song, it is quite a selfless wishful song for Ranka. I think this would sound really good for the ending credits, because it has a somber tone but feels hopeful for the next installation of the movie. I like it :)

Also, sorry for this being late, I wasn’t ignoring people yesterday. It’s just that some interesting things happened in the 00 fandom yesterday!

Megumi sounds amazing, voicing her emotions in the song. Kinda of a sad melody as well. Beautiful song too.

  5. Yyrkoon Says:

That may be odd, but like in Pink Monsoon, I like the bridge ^^

  6. Mei Says:

You can tell Megumi’s getting better and better. I can hear more emotions from her now. I like this song better than Ao no Ether.

This song is a grower, at first I liked it but I wasn’t too impressed and now I completely love it.

I hope the other songs are as good as the three ones we have heard so far.

@Mei – I agree, Megumi is getting better, but I love the live Ao no Ether better than anything else Megumi has put out :)

Thanks for this! Absolutely beautiful, I love Megumi and her gorgeous voice :)

Sorry for double posting ( I forgot to ask) but I just have to ask where I could hear that live version of Ao no Ether? That song was alongside Aimo and Diamond Crevasse most moving song in all MF to me so I’d really love to hear live version :)

  14. mai Says:

@Xard – Try looking for the live clips of the Tanabata Sonic (Tanasonic) concert of Yoko Kanno. There should be other recordings of the song, but for now, that’s the one I could think of.

EDIT: Oh goodness, I forgot to say, yesterday was the official release of the Macross F Live in Budokan concert, in which you could hear Megumi sing Ao no Ether live.

    @mai

I don’t think I can thank you enough for giving hint about Tanasonic concert… I just got (good quality) bootleg of whole concert and I have to say I am stunned. Ae no Ether was just as gorgeous and heartbreaking as I was expecting (too bad it wasn’t full song but part of a medley) and rest of the material I’ve listened to so far… woah. Voices was at least as great and of course whatever The Seatbelts have played is…well, mindblowing

Guess I need to get that BD then ;)

    Thanks!
