May’n, Kanno, LOL

Isn’t it a bit sad that Kanno herself doesn’t have a blog? Oh well, at least we get snippets of her in other people’s blogs. Like this one from May’n.

Blog write-up from here, photo from here. Translation, [ ] comments mine.

Recording (*´∀`)´∀`)´∀`)

We finished smoothly!!
Because we practiced a lot (*´∀`)´∀`)´∀`)

It’s really terrific godly music (´;ω;`)

Violent
Heart-rending
Painful (´;ω;`)

So then.

In the recording today.

Yoko Kanno-sama said,

When she suddenly looked at my nails which I also put up in my blog yesterday [pic above].

“Waaaaah, what cuuuute nails (*´∀`)”

“Hmmm ♪ What pattern is this? (*´∀`)”

“A cow? (*´∀`)”

” (° ∇° ;) Uuuh, it’s a leopard print.”

“Ooooh, you’re kidding, it’s absolutely a cow… Show me, show me… let me see it properly (*´∀`)”

“Ah, I’m wrong. It’s a… it’s a…! (*´∀`)”

It’s all the same (*´д`*)
Excuse me, is that so (*´д`*)

I was trying to be fashionable but I am still not leading-edge (*´д`*)

The leading-edge fashion is blue cheese (*´д`*)

But I would soon be 20 years old
Today it’s not a leopard print, it’s not Pucci [?] either.

It’s BLUE CHEESE!!
=========================

Oh May’n. I kinda like the blue cheese. LOLZ.

Ah… french gastronomy… lol I don’t like blue cheese but, on this pic, it does look like blue cheese. The weirdest thing is that YK thought of this, precisely, not another thing, like a japanese thing lol
… How does japanese girls make chores with nails like these???

  7. mai Says:

I haven’t seen blue cheese myself, unless it’s on pizza, and it sure doesn’t look like that :P Maybe it’s also popular in Japan?

  8. kai Says:

The Japanese people I got to try blue cheese hated it, one of the spat it out. Which was funny. Maybe for the older, more discerning palate it might be popular. I love it with melon. Give it a try Mai, just get good stuff and ignore the smell if you are sensitive to that.

I was thinking ‘dalmations’ when I saw the nails. Maybe the girls get their boyfriends to do the chores?

  9. mai Says:

blue cheese with melon? *__* Shall I dare? :D I’ve tried it when it came with 4 cheese pizza and I actually kinda like it. But not too much, because the flavor is very strong *__*

  10. kai Says:

Yeah, a little blue cheese goes a long way. The younger stuff is not as strong as the really aged kind. But I wouldn’t recommend food for a joke, it is really nice. Melon wrapped with prosciutto is good too, and I’m personally fond of bacon and peanut butter sandwiches.

  11. mai Says:

Aaah food! *salivates* Next time I pass by the market I’ll see if they have that stuff :D

  12. Naddie Says:

…I have no idea what a blue cheese is, LMAO. I guess I would be a fashion victim like May’n if I ever put patterns on my nails xD

Also, May’n’s writeup with the emoticons are so funny/cute! LOL I wish I can read Japanese.
