Macross Ultimate Frontier Music News, and others
UPDATE: Cover, music details, and Amazon Japan link added.
Thanks to Yyrkoon for the news and the translation! A French website GameKult.com recently published news about the Macross Ultimate Frontier game, and it included some news about the music.

Translation, by Yyrkoon:
Music is an integral part in the Macross mythology, and Macross Ultimate Frontier will respect the tradition by using the main themes from the series, with instrumental and original versions. From Ai oboeteimasuka (Macross) to After in the dark (Macross Plus), through Macross 7 and Macross F BGMs, the most represented with 8 tracks. So in the end that will be a total of 21 tracks which will be available at first on UMD, knowing that 7 of those 21 tracks didn’t figure on the first game, including the game opening as well.
Another important piece of news: The OVA Macross II - Lovers Again - will be present, with its Valkyries and characters.
Finally, a limited collector edition will be released on October 1st in Japan. It will be a pack including a preview of the coming Macross F movie released on November 21, with a UMD bonus video compiling 60 minutes of openings and endings and CG movies, without forgetting an interview of the master Shôji Kawamori, the creator of the designs of the Valkyries. The fans should be waiting for this release in import.

Have you checked out PlayAsia.com? They take credit card and PayPal, and are able to ship overseas (I live in Australia and I had no problem ordering Macross Ace frontier when that first came out) I’ve pre-ordered my Limited Edition. I’m a real sucker for those Limited Editions…

That list of unreleased music from Macross F took me a while to compile so thanks for posting that link.
Pity no news about an official release for all that music has yet surfaced and with nearly 10 month passed since the last Soundtrack was released, my hopes that it will ever see the light of day are fading. I have cliped all the unreleased pieces in the list but they have dialogue and SFX, and since this was only released in 2.0 Stereo, having the same done to this as it was to GITS SAC (kudos for that) seems unlikely. I tried to remove all that noise but sound quality is not that great, a lot from the music itself is lost when vocals are removed.
Maybe if they ever publish the series in 5.1, better results will be achieved.
As for this release, game music isn’t really my thing but it might be worth a listen.

I just recieved my Limited Edition of Macross Ultimate Frontier. I’ve yet to get stuck into the game and was eagerly waiting to check out the bonus UMD that came with it…
Until I realised that UMD videos are still Region Locked. My PSP-3000 is locked to region 4 and the UMD is region 2.
