Sorry, I’m lazy to search out…

Anyway, that’s great news! Especially if that was the concert where Maaya sang the piano Triangler!!! (Am I wrong?)

BD is the shortcut for Blu-ray Disc :)

    (cont’d from broken commenting orz)

Maaya was SOOOOOOO adorable in Budoukan!!!!
I was literally jumping onto my chair when Kanno-san finished playing her accordion and Maaya-chan just suddenly appeared from below the stage….
Too bad it was so short and I didn’t recall her coming back on stage during encore…. Because it’s a surprise performance, sure hope it’ll be included in the DVD!! *_*

And same goes to the surprise seiyuu talk & group nyan nyan dance lol

I wonder how much they’ll include in the tokuten for the Zepp Tokyo and Pacifico Yokohama lives….

p.s.Is the license under Movic this time? o_O
Hmmmmm…. Anyhow this still gives us some hope for the Tanasonic DVD doesn’t it? >”<

Cheap! esp if you have someone in Japan to help with free shipping lol

  18. Len Says:

    Weird! It’s really cheap…

  19. roxfan Says:

Amazon almost always has 25% off on preorders. But since they offer only FedEx it’s not a very good deal for international orders.

  20. mai Says:

Thanks for that!!! I’m glad to see two companies now list it as 240 minutes :D Woot, just imagine the price people paid to watch this one live!

  21. catcha Says:

I don’t think the DVD/BD comes with english subtitles… is anyone willing to sub this? =P

  22. mai Says:

But this is a concert disc! For the supplementary materials, if there’s going to be a lot of talk, then that’s the only one I want subtitles for. And for the MC’s. I think I don’t want subtitles for the song performances, which is the bulk of it XD

Anyway, for the supplementary stuff in some Kanno concert DVDs, some people did pick it up and added subtitles.

  23. Paliodor Says:

Yeah, that’s very good news. This DVD is a ”must buy” for me.
    Big thanks for this info^^

  24. Axaul Says:

I’ll definately take the BD version, although I would like to confirm what the content differences might be between the BD and DVD, besides the obvious higher resolution stuff.

  25. mai Says:

As far as I’ve read, there’s no difference in the content, that’s why the prices are pretty much the same. I’m not exactly sure though.

  29. Taku Says:

I love the version of Yousei they used in this.

  30. Knightwing Says:

    Hi Guys

DVD was actually sold as early release on Macross Crossover concert, but if you can’t wait, somebody already put on BT.

  31. jason Says:

I don’t see Triangular in the setlist… Didn’t Maaya perform it at the concert? Guess they cut that out of the dvd release. :(

  32. Yyrkoon Says:

Maaya’s appearance was not at Budokan but at Yokohama, and the worse is that we see Maaya in the documentary when they show some pictures of Yokohama’s show T_T

Besides, this concert seemed great, maybe a little long (I’m not sure I can handle 3 hours of Macross songs only) but featuring some pretty interesting acoustic versions (Yousei, Diamond Crevasse, …).

  33. Josue Says:

I think Maaya was at the Tokyo Zepp.

The Budokan live is great. Just saw it. They do have to repeat some songs, I mean is a 3 hour live, and there aren’t that much songs in Frontier for them to sing. Miyake Kenta is hilarious.

I’m getting this when it comes out.

  34. jason Says:

@Yyrkoon: Okay, now I’m confused. The following LJ post about the Budokan concert says the complete opposite. According to that person, Maaya performed at Budokan but not at Yokohama.

    http://midoriyuki.livejournal.com/70548.html

  35. jason Says:

After comparing the set list on COMA with the one mai posted a while back (http://gabrielarobin.com/737/macross-f-galaxy-tour-final-concert-reports-updated), seems pretty clear that Victor Ent. cut out Maaya’s perfomance of Triangular from the dvd. :(

Oh well, I still plan to buy the concert dvd.

  36. mai Says:

I really also remember posts saying that she performed at the Budokan. There were 3 concerts, and this one was just added because of the good sales of the other two, right? And it was in this one that Maaya came out. People in 2ch are also hoping it might be a bonus for the Blu-ray release.

  37. Yyrkoon Says:

Perhaps you’re right, I said she performed at Yokohama because in the live document on the DVD you can see her behind the black curtain with Yoko Kanno at her side! And one minute after you see her again in the lodges corridor! Look:

    http://carnetderoutejapon.free.fr/YokohamaMaaya1.jpg
    http://carnetderoutejapon.free.fr/YokohamaMaaya2.jpg

  38. Eri Says:

You can really see that Maaya was cut, because after Yoko plays the accordeon, a big triangle pops on the monitor and it cuts right there :(
I hope the people on 2ch are right about it being in the BR. Sigh, still have to wait over a month for it >_<

  39. Yyrkoon Says:

Oh, so Maaya did also a performance at Budokan? I also didn’t understand why a triangle appeared and suddenly the video faded out, that explains everything!
So I hope this will be on the BD, but that seems weird to put additional content in the BD only, doesn’t it? Of course I hope there will be, but I wouldn’t be so sure about that… (But that DOES seem also weird to remove this part like that!!!)

  40. Haesslich Says:

One question: is it just me, or in some of the Live clips that I’ve seen, is Megumi singing with a less-high-pitched-Ranka voice? As in something a little more full-throated, which would take better advantage of her possible range?

  41. mai Says:

I think she is, because I think she must be getting tired of holding up a voice that’s not really natural to her. Anyway, I like her real voice better than the one she uses to sing as Ranka.

  42. Haesslich Says:

You notice it more only during certain songs: in some she’s sticking with the Ranka voice, while others she’s singing more naturally. I wonder how much of it’s the strain of keeping that non-natural voice in the middle of a live tour, and how much of it’s wanting to break out of Ranka’s shadow as it were. She’s so far managing to avoid Mari Iijima’s fate with regards to that character, but.. we’ll see how the future goes.

Also, that audience participation version of Anata no Oto was lovely. :D

  43. Haesslich Says:

I mean, seeing all those guys singing along and doing the hand-gestures was… classic.

  44. riepert Says:

Guys… anyone know what was the title of the piece Kanno was playing after Diamond Crevasse?

  45. mai Says:

Innocent Green, in another key, I think:
