Megumi Nakajima = Ranka Lee Live at Formo…Not! Report (updated)
Megumi Nakajima performed a mini-concert entitled “Megumi Nakajima = Ranka Lee Live at Formo… Not! It’s really at Venus Fort” at the Venus Fort today at 3:30pm. Her set list includes the songs Ai Oboete Imasu Ka (Do You Remember Love), What ’bout My Star, Neko Nikki (Cat Diary) and Seikan Hikou (Interstellar Flight).
Just like the May’n mini live concert, this performance also gathered a crowd of 1000 fans.
And yeah. She did the Seikan Hikou Ranka Dance. Did anyone video this?

I would’ve went if it wasn’t for the fact that I had to be there at 11am to get the free tickets and then wait till 3pm before I can actually see the show. That and I knew there would be crazy otakus camping for the free tickets anyway, I don’t feel like fighting them this weekend.
Doubt there’ll be videos, usually they’re very strict with these things in Japan.

I heared that Nakajima’s mother is Filipino? So that’s why she doesn’t looks very like a typical Japanese…

Yes, she’s half-Filipino, I read that on the Japanese wikipedia and it’s mentioned on her website too iirc.

Oh she is? Didn’t know that, I wonder if she knows a few words
Japanese Wikipedia entry:
日本人の父とフィリピン人の母をもつハーフ
She is a half-blood Japanese, her father is Japanese and her mother is Filipino.

Aha, from the link in the profile on her website:
★将来海外進出する予定、又はその他野望はありますか?
海外進出というか、子供の頃から、母の故郷フィリピンで歌ってみたいという気持ちはあります。
This is the one mentioning her mother’s hometown is in the Philippines.
★一番の宝物(お守り)はなんでしょうか?
お守りといったら、ブレスレットかな?フィリピンのおばあちゃんがいつも買ってきてくれるものです♪
Her most treasured item is a bracelet she was gifted by her Filipino grandmother.

I don’t mind even if there’s no video, I would’ve been satisfied with an audio! I love it when artists perform live :3
