Macross F Movie – But wait, there’s more!
UPDATE: I think my initial translation of Mainichi.jp was correct (ANN translated the line differently, see below. I translated it as “Divided into two parts, the first part of the movie entitled “Itsuwari no Utahime” has new scenes added to the TV version, has new stories, and has new songs too.”) The flier below supports it, as it reads: “The first movie has new songs, new story, new mystery, and reconstructed human relations.” Here’s the line, you can find it in the flier: 新たな歌、新たな物語、新たな謎、再構築された人間関係。
The Macross F movie has been announced to have two parts. The first part, “Itsuwari no Utahime”, will air this November 21, and a second part is slated for the future.
ANN reports that:
The second film, which is based on Shoji Kawamori and Studio Nue’s latest sequel in the Macross science-fiction romance franchise, will tell a new story and include new music. (The first film re-edits the story of the television series with new footage.)

More Sheryl is good Sheryl in my opinion, I just hope that it won’t take too long for the movie to filter down to us poor souls who won’t be able to see it in theaters ^^;

Macrossworld has a copy of the movie flyer (both sides) in the news thread. There are some screen shots of a new Sheryl/Alto scene but the ‘story’ summary has nothing interesting in it. Basic threadbare “three characters at a concert cross paths when it’s attacked by Vajra”. I guess they wouldn’t give anything away on it. Stupud Kawamori, I feel like everything they put out about the movie is supposed to mislead us because everyone always talks about what a troll he is.

Good God, fanservice much with that Sheryl pic? I love their illustrations of her but that G-string… lol. The only good thing I’m hoping from this movie is… new music, haha.

Maybe I’m wearing my sheryl goggles too much but…
Ep 24 – Sheryl and Alto decide to settle things after the fight
Ep 25 – They land on that planet.
Now the big Sheryl pic on the flyer next to Ranka looks like it’s from the same scene as the two pics in the lower part where she’s in the fields with Alto. The scenery for that is like nothing on Frontier and resembles the planet they settle on.
