Also, as an aside, it seems like they’re selling more goods on location for the 7/7 concert. The prices on these goods surprise me. I don’t know why I’m still reporting this as it makes me feel depressed, but perhaps for documentation purposes, here they are:
1. A concert booklet for Y2500, and has 32 pages of explanations in full color. The booklet is said to contain embarrassing daily details about the members of the Seatbelts, contains a special disc inside, and others.
2. A Hiyoko Relief Goods (?) set, supposedly for waving around in the concert for Y2000. This includes a Seatbelts duck that makes a duck sound, a muffler type towel, and a Hiyoko Relief Goods Bag.
3. A Seatbelts t-shirt for Y3000
4. A poster for Y1000
5. Everyone who purchases anything will get a free blue glow stick, and they said it’s a freebie of thanks for the sold out tickets.
6. CDs will also be on sale before the concert.

Oooh, I may just have to pick up some of those exclusive goods at the concert, depending on how much spending money I end up with.
Who else is going to the concert, and would anyone be interested in meeting up a little while before and going in together? This will be my first time out of the country and, while I do have friends in Japan, none of them are going to the concert. Just thought I’d ask! I’m friendly and a big Yoko Kanno fan (obviously), so it would be nice to have some company at least until we split up to sit in our respective seats. DVD boxsets in Japan are INSANE in their prices. 100’s of dollars for a TV show, it’s ridiculous. How is that even sustainable?

1000yen for a poster? Feh! Top tip for gaikokujin going to the concert. I’m betting they will have posters up at the location, find a secluded spot and pinch one off the wall. If questioned play the ‘baka gaijin’ card. Although you didn’t hear this from me…

@omo - I dunno, both? It’s good because it means they know it will sell even if it’s that expensive. But for me, they’re too expensive I won’t even think of buying them! When you get there, would you buy a shirt for that price? I dunno, I’m used to local artists selling shirts for 1/3rd of that price, and that’s already top-quality shirts @__@;; If it were Y2000 and I was there on location, I’d probably consider buying one, but Y3000…
