Sample Music from Kaze ni Mai Agaru Vinyl Sheet

UPDATE: The final episode has aired, and samples 11-14 below are taken from that episode. I wonder if we get a CD for this one :)

For those who wanted to know how the music sounded like, but didn’t feel like watching the show, here are some samples of pieces from the episodes. This post will be updated as the series progresses.

Some song notes:

07 - This song is originally composed by a Vietnamese named Trịnh Công Sơn, and was adapted in Japanese language to Utsukushii Mukashi (trans: Lovely Olden Days). Listen to Utsukushii Mukashi here. The piece you will hear below is a piano rearrangement of the song.

10 - This song is a Japanese lullaby entitled “Furusato“. In the snippet below, the pianist asked the audience to sing along with her playing. The scene was pretty touching :)

the 4th track sounds so great !!! i really hope for an OST this time

The 4th track is beautiful indeed, the 3rd track is also really nice :) It’s good that there are such silences during the shows, they put the music in foreground, the director is really good to me because of that :)

I hope there will be an OST, because the musics are great, it’s been some time since Yoko Kanno hasn’t made such beautiful acoustic musics :D I love the arrangements!

The track 06 is the example of why sometimes I don’t like the work she does for TV dramas. It’s sometimes toned down so as not to steal too much from what is happening (though I have to admit it fits the scene very well). I bet it would be better in HQ though, but I suppose we can’t tell by how much until we get a CD :P

Also guys, I up-sampled the 02 track a bit, so you guys might want to listen to it again. My only comment about the song is that I think it’s supposed to evoke Mr. Wayne, and I think it does so, except Mr. Wayne has perfect English, but Akira Fuse not as much :D

05 is so beautiful, I love sad musics like that ;)

Oh, and 06 was already played in the 1st episode, and I also don’t like the mix of the child voice with the music.

@Yy - I just couldn’t pick which music to take from the third episode, so I picked that one :)

Which reminds me… the fourth episode has not turned up yet anywhere online…

  8. mai Says:

Ah, I found out, the fourth episode hasn’t aired yet. It will air this weekend.

  9. Yyrkoon Says:

Lol, that gave me some time to rip the musics or the 3 first ones ^^

  10. mai Says:

    Could you share them? :D

  11. Yyrkoon Says:

I will of course, but I’m a little late :)

Anyway, the ‘I say yes part 2′ reveals something: that song lasts more than 4 minutes because the long version in the episode 1 lasted 3:20 and it didn’t include some parts the ‘part 2′ has.

Let’s hope for some OST :D

You know, I’m not sure if my ears were playing with me, but the ED I Say Yes to this episode itself had something new…

In track 02 above, the last line was

    so I say yes,
    for all we have…

    ha…

    I say yes

But in episode 4, I heard:

    so I say yes,
    for all we were…

    ha…

    I say yes

I haven’t gotten to re-listen to it though… But if I heard right, it’s kinda sad isn’t it?
