I think it’s ~pretty safe to assume~ they mean other tracks there but lol, who knows…

  2. mai Says:

Yeah, you’re right, I suppose they should put the titles in there if we already know the songs.

  3. yy Says:

“and others”(他) maybe means there also have two karaok tracks.
Normally the japanese single only have two vocal tracks.

  4. mai Says:

^ I was thinking the same, but here’s to hoping that there are more songs in there :D

  5. Westlo Says:

I’m guessing this will end up being the second op and they will give Sheryl the 2nd ending to be released the month after and than we get the 2nd OST in September.

  6. NIÑO PATO Says:

i have all my hope in thats songs…
    i mean, who knows

  7. Naddie Says:

All I can say is: Karaoke, yay!

  8. Haesslich Says:

I was hoping for a version of Diamond Crevasse, a Capella, like we almost got at the end of episode 2… but I guess that’s what OST 2 is for. ;)

  9. Westlo Says:

Actually I think that sort of stuff would be on character image cds since the second ost should have music from the second half. Anyway still no Ranka version of Ai Oboete Imasuka :( But at least My Boyfriend is a Pilot is on this.

  10. Westlo Says:

    Awesome, my complaint got addressed!

  11. mai Says:

Maybe Victor got bugged by many fans. It’s the deculture edition version though, I want the full one. Oh well, better than none.

  12. Izumo Says:

Anyone else notice that the music for ‘Watashi no Kare wa Pilot’ is the same as Mylene’s version found in Mylene sings Lynn Minmay?

Either way this is one of the must have cds for me!!! Megumi Nakajima-san is such a fabulous vocalists, i can’t wait for more from her!

  13. mai Says:

@Izumo – The version here is just a re-arrange of the original composition, I suppose it was re-arranged in a minor way, meaning only the people who performed/played the song changed, and not the composition itself.

Or then again… I might have the wrong credits to the song! I got them from COMA.
The ending credits of Episode 4 say this:

(I can’t read the name of the co-arranger). So it may be that Kanno is involved, but only for arranging the new vocalist. We’ve known previously that she won’t be making all of the songs in Macross F anyway.

Or… the version on the CD could be a Kanno-arranged version!

    *babbles*

Thanks for pointing that out :)

  14. mai Says:

WAIT a second. I just figured it out, the co-arranger is Hisaaki Hogari, co-composer to Aquarion! Anyone who knows who arranged the one with Mylene?

  15. yy Says:

Mylene’s version of ‘Watashi no Kare wa Pilot’ was arranged by Hisaaki Hogari, just himself. That’s why it is similer with Nakajima’s version.
But this time with yoko as co-arranger, it should not be complete same. I haven’t heared Mylene’s version, so I don’t know more details…

  16. mai Says:

@yy – Pulz has told me in YKDB that it was indeed Hogari who arranged the Mylene version, and it does seem that Kanno added a bit more here and there to the arrangement, which I suppose merits to put her name as co-arranger :)

You may listen to part of Mylene’s version here:

  18. Izumo Says:

Episode 11′s ending song is Neko Nikki, very very cute song. The drawings featured in the ending are nicely drawn of Ranka being cute.

Anyways I’ve been hearing the Mylene ver. & Ranka ver. over & over again…there are slight differences between the two. I’m no music expert but i did catch a few more melodies in Ranka’s ver.

Also Interstellar Flight has been growing on me ever since i saw the ‘paper’ Ranka dance video. So i can’t wait for this debut by Megumi Nakajima (though technically she debut in the OST already :P ).

  19. Izumo Says:

I uploaded the music clip to imeem so here is the sample of Neko Nikki…soooo cute!!!!!

  20. mai Says:

^ Do know that the full version of Neko Nikki has leaked even before the OST 1 came out? (That’s probably why I don’t feel compelled to write about it… >__<;;) Thanks for the TV cut sample anyway! I was really touched by episode 11′s ending, I feel for *her*. (avoiding spoilers)

  21. zagunsousan Says:

I finally decided to listen to Seikan Hikou because it was on the official site.
I wanted to wait until it appeared in the anime…
I’ve probably heard it 10-15 times now =)
I think my favorite thing about it is the キラー!!!(にゃん)scream with the weird ‘teleported’ sound effect right before she goes into the chorus.
I can’t wait to see how Ranka performs it.
Or how Megumi did it at Venus Fort if anybody has video…

I think I like the lyrics but haven’t really looked at them closely.
are the lyrics up somewhere? translated or untranslated?

  22. mai Says:

  23. Izumo Says:

There are a few early torrents available for Megumi-san’s debut CD. No idea where these people obtain these so early. Funny it was the same for Triangler & the OST as well. I’m not complaining though.

I’m still seeding if anyone is getting these. Anyways the tracks are quite delightful. Neko Nikki is so charming while Interstellar is as good as always. Cool thing is that the booklet has instruction on how to do that dance? move. I’m failing miserably so far at it.

The only thing i’m disappointed about the CD is that this ver. of Ai oboete is the short one, the same goes for Watashi. Other than that i’m fully enjoying the music.

  24. mai Says:

The CDs could get an early release in Japan, as with the case of the other CDs. I guess it’s already good to setup a vigil for torrents the night before it is released :)

  25. zagunsousan Says:

    Thanks Mai,
I took a stab at the translation just in time for the release and just in time for summer… because it’s a summer song with the fireworks and all =) I love the line with fireworks. I think there are intentionally two ways of reading it.
So this is Ranka’s song to everyone she loves, like her brother, her friends, etc…, not just a simple love song to Alto.

    Interstellar Flight (Seikan Hikou)

    The water’s surface trembles
    The whirlwind swells
The electric blue current when our fingertips met

Just by gazing at each other
In an instant, acceleration in solitude
    smashes into tiny pieces
    How I love you so

    Like transparent pearls
The tears floating in the air
    I don’t care if it’s a tragedy
I want to go with you

    キラッ!!(にゃん!!)
    Kira~!! (Nyan!!)

    Straddling a shooting star
I suddenly dive into you oh oh
    In the starry sapphire sky
We are like (want to see) fireworks
Our hearts shooting rays of light

In the absence of things such as talk
    getting inside your head
and being able to read your thoughts
    How mysterious the night

    Like one of your spells
    endlessly repeating
Provoked into trying to dig your nails into the back of your hand

    キラッ!!(にゃん!!)
    Kira~!! (Nyan!!)

Our bodies and all become transparent
drifting through the air like a drawing
Even though our existences are small as poppy seeds
An avalanche of our twinkling spirits blanket the galaxy

    Straddling a shooting star
    I suddenly ascend to you
    In the starry sapphire sky
We are like (want to see) fireworks
Our hearts shooting rays of light

Even though our existences are small as poppy seeds
An avalanche of our twinkling spirits blanket the galaxy
    Our spirits blanket the galaxy

  26. mai Says:

Awww, those lyrics are so cute! Thanks for the translation! :)
