Thank you for lance5 and ff for the recording!
The j-wave website describes the program as:
June 1 On Air (22:00~)
Theme: Music Job
Tonight, our invited guest commentator is Yoko Kanno, who has composed music for artists such as SMAP and Miki Imai. She has made many CM music including the “Vitamin Water” CM. Furthermore, she has produced many popular anime music. Let us discuss the philosophy of the world of music she produces!
It bugs me a bit that there’s a “send a message to the guest” at the bottom, and I would probably have sent something if I knew this beforehand.
And a sample of how it sounded like. Kanno is using her modulated voice here, except at the start where she sounded excited
The songs played are All You Need is Love (CM), Sougen (CM), Vitamin Water (CM), Eternal Memories (Crystal Kay), Melody (CM), Green (CM), Seeds of Life (CM), Himatsuri no Odori (CM), and Ichijiyoji (CM). Then they played Otoko no ko to Onna no ko by Kyoko Koizumi, which is arranged by her. After that, what I understand from the talk is that they discussed the fact that she didn’t watch TV as a kid.
Next up came an anime set, and they played the songs Inner Universe (GITS:SAC), Fly up in the Air (Macross +) and Tank! (Bebop). Then they played Mite no Uta (CM) and they were giggling in the background. It’s such a cute song. Towards the very last part, she pitches the 7/7 concert, and says that there won’t be a DVD for it

Why Kanno’s voice would be modulated ? I don’t get it…

At the final, Kanno said: This live will never publish DVD.
It’s a bad news…

She said there won’t be a DVD for the concert -_-

@Yy – I meant to say, her voice is not pitch-high as when she’s talking in an excited voice. She uses more of her chest voice in this interview. I think some other fans noticed this about her.
@ff, roxfan – OH NO *cries* Or maybe they’re just saying that so that people will try to go, instead of just waiting for the DVD. And then they’d release one that’s double the price of the ticket.

Gosh, I realized that the reason I didn’t hear the no-DVD announcement is because I stopped once I heard the foreign DJ, and I thought for some reason, that her feature was over
So the show ran for more than an hour! I was only able to listen to the 00:30-1:00 hours. Thanks to ff and lance5 for the recording.
I hope there’s some clincher like, “It’s not DVD, it’s Blu-Ray!” Or better yet, “We changed our minds!”
It’s really not fair for her fans outside Japan if they don’t release it.

Do you guys think we should make a petition? Just so they know? I’m thinking that we should make the petition right now. It really depresses me that they have no plans for making one.

Maybe they don’t realize how many foreigners wanna see the concert but have no chance to go. I would subscribe!
I really don’t get it, why they won’t make a DVD release o.O

Oh.. NOOO……… No DVD for this concert is not fair. The petition idea sounds really good.
