Situation: In the Japanese style room where moonlight shines
*The kanji 鼓動 has furigana reading “Uta” or song, but the original kanji really reads “Beat of Life”. I suppose they put the furigana “Uta/Song” to clarify “Beat, as in a beat in a song”. “鼓動” alone actually sounds suggestive.
**口説いて/Kudoite means anything from “to seduce”, “to make advances”, “to court”, “to woo”, “to romance”. Take your pick.

At last something new about this movie. I don’t know but aren’t almost all the scenes from this short teaser from series?

@Paliodor- yep, a lot of it is just recycled. But I’m not surprised since they did the same thing with the other Macross serieses XD I just want to see the new concerts and mecha fight scenes

That preview makes the movie look sad! ;__; RANKA! -__- I was always a RankaxAlto fan, but…from that preview….it’ll probably end just like the TV series!! XD
@mai- I don’t think the “boku” means anything. Song lyrics are pretty ambigious unless they use “ore” or “atashi”. They probably just used “boku” to fit it in with the beats. I think “boku” is used in another Ranka song as well.

@Naru - I just realized that I also mistranslated the last line, the “to” should be “if” instead of “and”, and now it no longer sounds selfish. I believe I got the right translation now. I have also heard that “boku” is also used by women too in some areas.
The song sounds like a variation of Ao no Ether, so I’m not too worried about Ranka, it’s too cruel to do anything mean to her. She’ll definitely be fine, with or without Alto. She’s got lots of friends and family to back her up
Sheryl also had her “oh no” song (Northern Cross) and she also turned out fine regardless.
