Hitachi Tsukurou CM

There’s a new Hitachi CM up at Grand Funk that has music that is arranged by Yoko Kanno. It is a rearrangement of the song “Oklahoma Kisser”, although I can’t find any reference over the internet of a song with this title. The lyrics are by Tim Jensen, and the vocalist is keyco. This is possibly one of the longest CMs of hers posted in the website, clocking in at a minute and forty seconds.

I got really amused with the song and its light feel, so I felt like transcribing the lyrics. I don’t think it’s perfect because some of it don’t make sense given the context, and I don’t think Tim Jensen will make a mistake in his English.

Fan-transcribed Lyrics:

Just a place on holiday
with nothing I’d like I do
finished off my laundry
and be lazy too
Where the funny melody
and happy ordinary day
can’t you see my heart is beating
one two three

Lalalala…
Feels so good to be alive
Every day gets better
when you dance with life

Lalalala…
Take a shower of pure sunlight
Every day gets better
when you dance this life

the world beats out the rhythm for you and me
the world beats out the rhythm for you and me
the world beats out the rhythm for you and me
the world beats out a rhythm for you and me

I like it~ It sounds like those old-school songs, and keyco’s vocals are pretty pleasing once I’ve gotten used to the song xD
