Macross Frontier OST 1 Available Through Amazon

The Macross Frontier OST 1 entitled “Frontier NOW” is now available for preorders through Amazon Japan. Details:

Release Date: June 4, 2008 Price: Y3045 (approx. 30.52 USD)

By the way, as an aside, Ranka Lee’s name is officially romanized as “Lanca Lee”. This information comes from Tokyo Anime Fair t-shirts with English text on them.

EDIT: I realized that some people were quoting this post with the official spelling of Ranka’s name. It was really spelled that way in the Tokyo Anime Fair goodies, but it is also spelled “Ranka” in other official promo materials. I suppose it could go either way? I’m going with “Ranka” now since it sounds better.

    Most of her CDs are sold as 3045 yen. And almost all CD sold as this price in Japan.
    The 1st eposide will be aired tomorrow. I hope there is a op and new ed this time!

    I just checked Amazon and the prices of her CDs like Ghost in the Shell:SAC are lower than Y3000. Her older CDs like those from Escaflowne are also down priced now.

    All of her CDs in CDjapan are also priced lower than Y3000, except of course, for the special releases.

    Oh, 2900yen is the price without tax.
    I collect almost all her CDs’ booklet. Here’s the price of anime albums which I know:(read from the leaflet)
    darker than black: 2900;

    aquarion: 1 2: 3045;

    I get it, the difference in price is only caused by the vendor, which is Amazon. Most of the Kanno CDs in their catalog are cheaper than Y3000, but perhaps new releases are in a different price. I don’t buy from Amazon so I don’t know how their prices are posted, but I suppose it’s not safe to compare release prices based on their catalog. I have edited my post.
