Megumi no Ame Promotional Video
As previously reported, Hajime Chitose sang the song “Megumi no Ame” for the H&S CM, composed by Yoko Kanno. The promotional video of the full song has been released, here is a short sample:

I would not publish the video here as I believe it is illegal, and the creators are cracking down on sites that upload it.
I think the song sounds great, although the singer could probably control the vocal fluctuations a little better

That’s Hajime Chitose XD she’s supposed to sound like that! haha. Great song though.

Well, yeah I figured out that she does sound like that after hearing a live performance. But in this song the vibrato is sometimes not agreeing with the rhythm, but in the parts where it does, it sounds amazing!

maybe she can not sing normal anymore…. like without howling like crazy… I really don’t say such thing often, but I really hate her singing o.O I feel like I wanna press something into her mouth. I get so agressiv XD

For the sample that I posted, it sounds good, because it’s also the one isolated in the CM. The verses are too jarring though. I had really high hopes for this song, because of the way it was used in the CM, but everything other than the refrain made it almost unlistenable to me.

I love the song, but yeah Hajime Chitose just sounds like that (unfortunately, in this case, because if it was another vocalist the song would’ve been really awesome) in all of her songs…
