Here is Kanno’s version of Ai Oboete Imasu Ka (Do You Remember Love) from Macross: Do You Remember Love?. For some reason, I have already heard that synth at the bridge part in another Kanno OST. Was it in Ghost in the Shell: SAC? It’s bothering me. No, I remember, it’s in “Neko no Kimochi” from Escaflowne.

The intro sounds a bit weird with the very sparse instrument, but when it reaches the chorus? I’m sold on it. ILU YK!

Maybe there are more instruments, but can’t be heard from the quality of the video

Ahh, I’ve been behind on so many YK releases, so I didn’t know she had so many projects lined up ^^; I’m glad I finally caught up with them & will await the new Macross OST with impatience xD
Now if only I could find several of her CDs at the local stores. =x

I was really impressed with Nakajima’s voice, no wonder she won that contest. But I guess she couldn’t do the high notes near the end (mou hitoribochi ja nai… anata ga iru kara) so they kept Mari Iijima’s voice. ^^

I already love Yoko Kanon from the GITS series, like the hyper punk style song..:) now i am surprise she handle the song “do you remember love?” quite well, and the singer is very resemble of Mari voice too. I love this song..

Thanks for your blog! I discovered it a couple days ago and have been going through the archives.
I really like Kanno’s rendition of “Do You Remember Love.” I think the tight vocal harmonies on the chorus are very beautiful with Kanno’s choice of accompaniment. Thanks for sharing it with us!

@catlink: yes, I’ve heard both songs, I like Exaelitus too, it’s the best song in the album CMYoko in my opinion
