The January issue of Animage has announced that the series is slated for April 2008!

The full scan comes from kresphy from Macross World. He also translated the article and listed the descriptions of the characters along with their seiyuus. I cropped and boxed out the part of the scan that contained the date of release for reference:

The Macross Official Website has also announced a 27 minute special Director’s cut of the first episode to be aired on December 23. Also, a new CM for the TBS 25th special anniversary has come up, and it has a good quality version of the Yoko Kanno song. This is the synth version of the song that I was talking about, that doesn’t have the crappy 4/4 meter drumming at the chorus.
