MY SWEET GOD WHAT I never thought I'd write this about song composed by Kanno but this seriously makes my ears BLEED This is just atrocious. Like, wtf. I wouldn't point fingers at Kanno for songs suckage though. I think the chorus melody is honestly pretty good and memorable in not-annoying-way and what little sense I can make of the composition in general isn't *bad* (just...unimpressive and obscure). This could've been a decent song under different circumstances. I know where I'm pointing my blaming finger. It's pointed at Suzuki Masaya, the dude who arranged the song and played all instruments on it. He did absolutely horrible job. There's practically zero sense to it musically and its flow is bad enough to be nonexistent. This is just utterly horrific noisy mess that managed to hide the pretty nice chorus untill third listening entirely and I still can't make head and tails out of the rest. Maybe there's a decent song buried under here somewhere, as it is I can't hear it. I'm also far more fond of Mayn's vocals than mai often seems to be but I'm not twisting words here, the vocals are fucking horrible and ear splitting. Blergh. As of now I'd say Kanno should've produced the song and give it for Ranka. That sort of chorus would've been a strong core building block for another nice pop gem for hers. May'n doesn't suit it anyway. So yeah, no dice. What a disappointment, I can't think of worse song written by Yoko I've ever heard.
