How do you like your Turkey?

If you have watched the Ghost in the Shell:SAC series, you would have known by now that the song “Torukia”, sometimes referred to by fans as “Turkey”, has stripped down versions played within the series. One of them is the strings only version played at the episode Sunset in the City - Annihilation from Season 1, 24th episode. The other one was very memorable for me, as it played in Second Gig, episode 14, entitled Beware the Left Eye - Poker Face at a very, very climactic scene. Don’t watch this if you don’t want any spoilers:
For your reference here are the three versions of Torukia:
Released Version: [mp3]http://www.gabrielarobin.com/clips/torukia.mp3[/mp3]
This is the original, released version available in the GITS:SAC OST 3. I sampled the parts that are recognizable from the other versions posted here.
Strings Only Version: [mp3]http://www.gabrielarobin.com/clips/torukiaviolins.mp3[/mp3]
This version is not exactly what is played in the officially released version as it changes a couple of notes by the fourth measure and then changes completely after that. But still, the the first few notes are too similar to miss.
Male Chorus Only Version: [mp3]http://www.gabrielarobin.com/clips/torukiachoir.mp3[/mp3]
Without Gabriela and Ilaria singing in this one, it sounds a bit bare and repetitive. But still, the effect of this song in the sniper episode is really something
The two other versions of Torukia are ripped from the DVD by kacpy, which he posted in YKDB.

Watched episode 14 again a week ago and I was AWED with the chorus version of “Torukia”. This episode has some of the best uses of bgm in the entire series.

Somewhere in the Silence was also in that episode… that song was soooo sought for immediately after it was played in the episode and it wasn’t in the CDs yet
