Site Problems Galore (Rehab DONE)
UPDATE:The server staff has expressed their inability to help, so I have gathered what I could from Google’s cache. There are plenty of lost comments, and my Kazeyomi samples entry was not cached at all, so I had to make a short placeholder for it. Google and kbmurphy are angels, thank you very much! Come back within the next few days for the incremental updates
Sorry to start the new year like this, but it seems that almost a month’s worth of updates in the blog has been deleted by the web host (I leave for a while and this happens?). I’m going to try to contact them regarding this issue. *sigh* I feel so sad, last time I backed up was last month :c
This site is currently going to be unmaintained until they bring back all December entries. For now, I’ll be gathering all the news bits here and there, and publish them all in one go when the site is fixed. The hosting staff said that they’ll start working again on January 5, 2009, so I have no choice but to sit this one out for now *cries*. For now, YKDB, YKFan, COMA, and all the other Kanno communities are up and alive, so please head on down.
(…at least Teiria wasn’t dead when I came back. *dry laugh here*)

Oh man that sucks D: I was wondering why it wasn’t loading for a while there but I thought it wouldn’t be too bad, and I’ll just come back later or something! I hope you manage to get your data back, mai. Have a lovely New Year’s!

@Meh – thanks, I have actually reported that before I left :c
@Naddie – I got so depressed, I should have created a backup before I went away. I also wrote a year 2008 summary that should auto-publish at the start of the year, and now that’s gone too, and I spent a while collating all the news for that one!!! :c Hopefully the data could be restored as soon as they could work on it, I really don’t feel like rewriting my year-ender report, but still, if it can’t be helped… I suppose it wouldn’t be too bad if we had a December “hole” in this blog…
Still I’m going to pester the host until I get something. Or my money back. Or something. I’m soooo transferring hosts.

Awww no, that’s awful. I thought it was just the usual too much traffic over-loaded bandwidth or something. Oh Mai that’s rubbish!! Argh frustrating!

i know nothing about maintaining a website, but i do know how infuriating it is to loose your work to something like this *rages* i hope they can restore your stuff, mai.

I’m sorry to hear that mai D: Good luck for fixing everything *hugs*

Hehe, thanks for the support everyone. I’ll do what I can on my end, the rest is not mine to make for this issue. If I can’t get things back, then might as well just ignore it and just move on with the new stuff. We’ll see within a week’s time if anything can be done about it. I shouldn’t be the only person complaining about this though, hope they hear us out.

Here’s a short Oricon report: The Bobby singles are nowhere in the Oricon weekly charts, which is weird since they sold more than 3,000 copies each on their debut date, and Arashi’s Truth at the 32nd spot only sold 2,941 this whole week. What happened, did Macross pull it out of the Oricon charts because of some reason? Could you even do that? It’s really not even in the top 100 anywhere.
But to my delight, I found Nyan Tama is at #11 with 13,357 units sold this week. Going strong I guess

I think the last two weeks of the year are always counted together, if they only sold enough for the chart one week and then sold a pitiful amount the second week then they might have dropped out of the weekly ranking completely.

Oh I get it, so we only see the ranking next week? Sheryl’s and Ranka’s singles are currently 7 and 9 in the dailies.

I’m glad you got (almost) everything back up, mai! Ah well, what’s lost it lost
Let’s have a good new year~
