gaaahh…why did my practice get scheduled so late that day… my sister was so gloating at me when she came back… I was mad she didn’t get anything.. no photos/videos…T-T
I watched the vids. Either she was lip synching (NO!) or the sound was off. Still was awesome…. Requires worship, it does…

As for the videos, they’re up there in my post (or are you guys being sarcastic…or have they been deleted from YouTube?). I recently read a backlash of posts on people who condemn those who took videos and photos of May’n, primarily because she looks terrible in some of them. I don’t think so – I think she looks pretty enough in ALL the photos of hers I’ve seen. Besides, its her talent that we really look for, not her looks, right?
As for the ones who took videos, well, I won’t be a hypocrite, I know it’s wrong, but all I can say is thank you for sharing for us who were unable to go. For me, the videos only prove how superb May’n is live.

@mai: For some reason I *just* saw those too, lol. ^^; May’n is so awesome live.
And personally if I paid an arm and a leg to get a VIP or a VVIP ticket to see May’n (or anyone live really) I would try to get a recording/picture to commemorate and remember the moment. *shrugs* As for putting it online… well that I may have to consider a bit longer, but yeah I am super glad people put their recordings online
It is rather immoral, but if that’s the only way the lesser people (ie. me) can enjoy a concert, so be it

It’s now baffling me how some people really insist that the people who took photos of May’n that were un-glam were terrible people. That’s how she looks in real life, why pretend that she’s not by suppressing the bad camera shots? Besides, May’n herself posts un-glam photos of herself on her official blog, wearing casual clothes, sporting odd facial expressions, and odd, unflattering poses, in the oddest locations.
While I was typing the above^ reply, an official from AFA08 sent me a note to kindly remove the pic of May’n in the airport (which I actually found very cute that’s why I posted it), and seeing that they also sent me a set of better photos of May’n, I’ve put one of them up as you see above. I have absolutely no reason not to comply, seeing as they notified me in a nice manner and offered an alternative that is both pleasing to them and to me.
(So… should people also stop posting un-glam Yoko Kanno pics because she’s not pretty enough in some of them? I find it an insult to May’n and her talent when people seem to imply that she can’t sell if she’s not pretty enough… when I think her talent is enough to make her very pretty in my eyes.)

Hehe, I just did a post on her, where I photoshopped her ugly face on to Sheryl Nome’s body. The result’s not pretty. Sorry, but the Galactic Fairy is no more.

lol….in Japan many people arguing about if she can be called ugly or not… some hardcore Sheryl/mayn fans insist that she is pretty xD I don’t care if she is or not…. but for them it seems to be veeeeery important, like she would be not a good artist if she would be called ugly o.O

In an asian girl view point, for me May’n is very pretty and I don’t think they have to argue about it. Her smile is quite natural and beautiful in those pictures taken in the airport. Of course you can’t compare her to the sexy Galactic Fairy, it’s a real girl, not anime girl.
@Ryvius: I think even if you photoshoped Miss World’s face into Sheryl drawing body, it still look awful.

You’re probably right FH, but it was just to make a point about the importance of beauty in the anime world. I think she’s a great artist, and I think it sucks for her that she has to be compared to a non-real beautiful drawing all the time. I don’t know if it’s because she’s a young singer, or if it’s because of the anime fanservice standards, or maybe a bit of both; but everyone’s obsessed with beauty…

…I honestly don’t get why people are complaining about her looks when her songs and her vocals are so darn good. I mean I get it that marketing demand is so “competitive” nowadays that looks have a factor in CD sales but man I don’t know why people can’t just enjoy an artist’s songs and disregard the artist’s looks. I’m not talking about anyone on this site or even just May’n, just in general…
Anyway I think May’n's cute. Not your conventional beauty, but I don’t mind. Ah well it’s not too bad that you had to take off the pictures I guess, since it was requested in a nice manner haha. I guess I understand why they had the “no photos” policy now though…
And yeah, like Ryvius said, everyone’s obsessed with beauty nowadays.
