I think these are available for download over mobile phones in Japan:

Nice boots! Ready for some rockin’? In the pic where you can see the backs of the singers, that looks like Mai Yamane at the front, then from left to right, Megumi, Origa, Maaya, and May’n! Do I smell an epic collaboration?
I managed to get an interview together with the head of the PR department at the Warsaw Philharmonic, which apparently performed Yoko Kanno’s musical works for Macross Frontier and other anime. The subject of the interview is their cooperation with Yoko Kanno. I have some of my own questions that I’m preparing, but additional ones will be appreciated - especially by people who are more in the know about Kanno.
Please read the rest of the thread for more of his comments. If you don’t have an account in Macross World and don’t plan on making one, you could channel your questions to me through this post. I personally couldn’t think of anything decent to ask
UPDATE: I think my initial translation of Mainichi.jp was correct (ANN translated the line differently, see below. I translated it as “Divided into two parts, the first part of the movie entitled “Itsuwari no Utahime” has new scenes added to the TV version, has new stories, and has new songs too.”) The flier below supports it, as it reads: “The first movie has new songs, new story, new mystery, and reconstructed human relations.” Here’s the line, you can find it in the flier: 新たな歌、新たな物語、新たな謎、再構築された人間関係。
The Macross F movie has been announced to have two parts. The first part, “Itsuwari no Utahime”, will air this November 21, and a second part is slated for the future.
The second film, which is based on Shoji Kawamori and Studio Nue’s latest sequel in the Macross science-fiction romance franchise, will tell a new story and include new music. (The first film re-edits the story of the television series with new footage.)
UPDATE: This is about the second time I’m hearing that there’s a new song in the Macross F movie trailer, and it seems like it’s this one! The first time I heard of this news was in 2ch, from people who claimed to have seen the trailer. But they didn’t name the song, so it wasn’t much to start with. However extramf, apparently a Japanese, said that in LiveJournal that it’s this song, and the title is Pink Monsoon, Sheryl’s first single
=================
Many thanks to Gubaba for the lead!
A new Sheryl Nome has appeared in the Macross F CD Drama Nyan Dra 3. This to me now is the most Britney-ish song of hers, rivaling What ‘Bout My Star. This is definitely a song that came before her beating down, and the type that you’ll hate if it gets stuck in your head ^__^;;
Oh, and cookies to the person who can guess the title of this song, and the rest of the Engrish. I have a hunch we’ll find out the details in the movie
Unrelated, but Totsugeki Love Heart by Ozma, Bobby, and Cathy was pretty awesome too
UPDATE: Some sample music (07 to 10 below) from episode 4 added.
It’s natural that many pieces came from the episode, as one of the characters is a pianist from Vietnam. There’s also quite a bit of trivia for the pieces played:
07 - This song is originally composed by a Vietnamese named Trịnh Công Sơn, and was adapted in Japanese language to Utsukushii Mukashi (trans: Lovely Olden Days). Listen to Utsukushii Mukashi here. The piece you will hear below is a piano rearrangement of the song.
08 - This sounds like the second stanza to I Say Yes. I like the bgm to this song
09 - I don’t know if this is a new composition, since the other songs are rearrangements.
10 - This song is a Japanese lullaby entitled “Furusato“. In the snippet below, the pianist asked the audience to sing along with her playing. The scene was pretty touching
For those who wanted to know how the music sounded like, but didn’t feel like watching the show, here are some samples of pieces from the episodes. This post will be updated as the series progresses.
I was a bit wary of the information because it wasn’t being discussed in any of the Japanese and English Kanno sites that I frequent, and they usually have everything first. This rumor came up around June 27, and circulated around 2ch (there goes the credibility), and has two entries which caught my eye:
This information isn’t in Sunrise’s website nor in the Tena on S-string site. Some readers over the net have also dismissed it and said that the fact that it says “Sunrise” is in itself suspicious. I personally thought that Kanno working for an unpopular work and director was suspect (and that someone did this for publicity). Besides, won’t she really be working for the DTB season 2 score? I think some people who watch DTB in 2ch actually bit the news even if it didn’t have a source because of her absence in the DTB season 2 line-up.
For now, it’s just a rumor, but I’ll keep this as a placeholder in case it is true indeed.
