I didn’t read through the whole interviews, but the one from HMV is more interesting because it talked about more than the Surely Someday production. Kanno seems to really want to do a musical. She also talked a bit about her recent stint in the LA Anime Expo and how she was surprised with how the audience took in the performance. She also says that she would actually love to do major concerts like the Tanasonic but it’s very hard to organize. It’s also funny how she mentions that she doesn’t have a fan club so it’s hard to assess how many would attend her concerts <__<;;

UPDATE (July 25, 2010): View more photos from Mantan Web.
To celebrate the launch of the movie, the Surely Someday staff held a movie screening and mini concert to a select audience of 1200 people last July 11, 2010 at the Tokyo International Forum Hall C. Tortoise Matsumoto, Aoi Teshima and Kanno were secret guests to the event.
After the screening of the movie, it was announced that Shun Oguri, the director, was actually watching with them at the audience, to everyone’s surprise. After calling Tortoise Matsumoto on stage, Kanno and Aoi Teshima were called up and they performed a piano and strings version of Because.

The caption to this photo says that Shun Oguri went up the stage with flowers for Kanno, and they gave him an ornament [a kusudama to be exact] with a message of congratulations to Shun for his directorial debut.
Shun Oguri proceeded to praise Kanno and Aoi Teshima for making his work “hundreds of times better” with their music.
(As for me, I want to see a video of that performance…)
